Privacy Policy

TubeHabit is run by Lær Smart AS (org. nr. 933 898 253, Oslo, Norway), the controller of your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: your email address and the name you choose. You sign in with a one-time link or code sent to your email; we don't store passwords.
  • Your habits: the YouTube playlists you add, the schedule we build from them, which videos you mark as watched, and your reminder settings (time, timezone, email/SMS preferences, and phone number if you turn on SMS).
  • Billing: if you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. We store your Stripe customer id and subscription status, never card details.
  • Usage data: see "Analytics" below.

How We Use Your Information

  • Build your habits and send the reminders you asked for
  • Show your progress
  • Run subscriptions and support
  • Understand which features help, so we can improve the service

We never sell your personal information.

Shared Habits

If you choose to share a habit, its name, playlist, schedule, category and the description you write become public at its link and in Community habits. Your email, name and progress are never shown. You can stop sharing at any time.

Analytics

We run our own first-party analytics on our servers. It records page views and actions (for example "created a habit"), the referring website, campaign tags, and device type. It does not store IP addresses and sets no extra cookies; visitors are counted with an identifier that changes every day, so we can't follow you across days. Raw events are deleted after 13 months.

  • YouTube API Services: playlist and video information (Google's privacy policy applies)
  • SendGrid: sending email
  • Twilio: sending SMS (Pro, if you turn it on)
  • Stripe: payments

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your Rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your habits, reminders and watch history. Every reminder email has a one-click unsubscribe link. For anything else, email us.
